Skills and Areas of Expertise

Wearable Art manipulation of textiles in non conventional manners, or use of non-textile materials, use of dyes and paints, and use of textiles in a sculptural form.

Designing: wearable art, costume

Airbrushing, scenic painting, costume, props, fine art

Art finishing and textile art: dyeing, shibori, shadow work, velvet devore, painting, felting, machine embroidery, fabric painting and rendering using textile inks, dyes and pigments

Wardrobe maintenance and alterations.

Shoe building and maintenance

Sewing, construction: Circus and physical theatre costume, able to incorporate both fashion and period style techniques (draping, bias cut etc)
